The World of Crystal Echoes
About a thousand years ago, a mysterious comet crashed into the World, bringing death and destruction. But the comet—or, as the inhabitants of Crystalvale call it, Caelcryx—brought not only chaos, but also the Crystals. Arcane formations that changed everything they touched: flora, fauna, the elements… even the flow of time itself.
These Crystals were not merely matter, but pure energy vibrating at a precise rhythm: the Echoes. Those who came into contact with this energy gradually changed, becoming one with the Crystals themselves.
At first, it was believed to be nothing more than an effect of the energy contained within them. Over time, however, the truth became clear: the Crystals respond to the soul. When two or more beings are deeply in tune with one another, the Crystals resonate, and their energy manifests in extraordinary forms.
This phenomenon is known as Harmony.
Centuries later, in a post-apocalyptic world ruled by chaos and disorder, a new era begins. Leaders from every corner of the world are stepping forward, rediscovering an ancient and forgotten principle: true strength does not lie in domination, but in harmony.

The Families of Crystalvale
Rubyswarm
The Rubyswarm are a faction that emerged shortly after the arrival of the comet. Arthropod creatures that once inhabited the lands surrounding the Chasm, they were irreversibly changed, both physically and mentally, by the power and energy of the Crystals brought by Caelcryx.
The Crystals they are bound to have a reddish hue, caused by the extraordinarily high concentration of energy still contained within them.
They are mainly insects and arthropods that, thanks to their remarkable resilience, managed to withstand prolonged exposure to the powerful magic of the Crystals. Some of them gained awareness, becoming gentle and kind, while others surrendered to the power of the Crystals, remaining bound to their true nature.

Shadyscales
These creatures are mainly amphibians and reptiles, accustomed to living in forests, woodlands, and near bodies of water. They are not particularly fond of sunlight, but curiosity—or hunger—often drives them to venture into the more populated areas of Crystalvale.
Over the centuries, contact with the Crystals has caused this faction to evolve, granting them awareness and leading them to develop anthropomorphic traits and behaviors. They are loyal creatures and often form strong bonds with one another or with members of other factions.
Most of them are docile, while others, due to intense exposure to the Crystals, have grown to enormous proportions, making them extremely dangerous. They are wild creatures and skilled hunters, well accustomed to finding their own food in nature.

Greenshards
The Crystals did not only transform the creatures of Crystalvale, but also its flora. The Greenshards are a peaceful and intelligent people. Born from plants, their bodies are made up and covered mainly with branches, roots, moss, and lichens.
The Crystals influenced them through the water in the soil, which had become saturated with magic. Because of their physical characteristics, they are slow and not particularly agile. Their build and way of life have made them an extremely thoughtful and wise people.
Of course, not all of them are sharp-minded and perceptive; some are childish and playful, often paying little attention to the dangers around them. They are very shy creatures and rarely approach others. They prefer to live far from the most populated areas, drawn above all to silence and isolation.

Ironamber
Small gears, springs, scraps, and electrical wires from the old World were given shape and soul by the extraordinary energy of the Crystals. Over the centuries, the magic released by the Crystals allowed these heaps of scrap metal to merge together and come to life.
The Ferrambrati live as nomads, traveling from place to place without a destination or a true home. They can often be seen wandering throughout Crystalvale in search of spare parts and magical energy, which they use as fuel.
Skilled engineers, they have harnessed the magic of the Crystals to create new technologies and improve themselves, making them essential to Crystalvale’s technological progress. They tend to be loud and not particularly fond of conversation, partly because of their vast knowledge of technology and engineering.
They are also well known for their greed, especially when it comes to Crystals, which they use as a source of energy. Their bodies are covered in gears, cables, and metal plates, often worn and rusted. Some of them, particularly those with a taste for fashion, even wear strange objects from the past, giving them an amusing and charming appearance.

The world of Crystal Echoes is vast and full of wonders.
